This
interface cable can be used for the handheld device VX-5 or VX-7 of
Yaesu. For programming the device you will need the VX-5 Commander
software or EVE.
Below you will find the circuit diagram for building your own interface cable. This circuit was tested works pretty fine. Using the cable with notebooks could cause errors in some case or does not work properly because of the lower current on the mobile RS232 (maybe lower 10V).
Also pay attention to the different plugs between VX-5 or VX-7 on the handheld side!!!
